Reading Bowl
Rising 4th and 5th grade students are invited to participate in the Reading Bowl for the 2015 – 2016 school year.
Afternoon practices will begin in September on Thursday afternoons from 2:30 – 3:30. We will talk about the reading bowl books, write questions on the books and quiz each other.
If you enjoy reading and playing trivia games, you will love Reading Bowl. Everyone who regularly attends the afternoon practices will play in the JES reading bowl competition in December. The top ten students will be selected to represent JES in the Pickens County Reading Bowl in January.
What do you need to do to play on reading bowl?
· Read as many of the Georgia Book Award nominees as you can.
· Participate in the Thursday practice sessions in the fall.
· Write questions on your books. Instructions for writing questions will be given at the first practice.
· Be ready to have fun!
